The Summer of 2009 was probably the hardest summer I have ever lived. I was going through a divorce, I was figuring out what to do with two little boys on my own and finding my place with my family that I hadn’t talked to in three years. It was hard but I made it through and came out a stronger person than I was before.
During that time I blogged a lot at Life with Sharon , connected with different groups of bloggers online and found myself in music. I listened to a lot of music during this time. It was how I made it through everything. The album I listened to the most was The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance.
This album just spoke to me. I literally listened to the album over and over again and there were many evenings after the boys would go to bed I would just sit on the back porch alone with this album on repeat playing on my iPod. The song that probably spoke to me the most was Famous Last Words. The song made me feel and helped me through everything I was going through.
