Cheesy Bacon Bombs! Holy wow, it was a food that my kids loved.
To quote Hal: “I thought I was going to choke on the explosion of cheese, but it was worth it”
We’ve actually had this twice, a trial run the night before Thanksgiving and then as a side dish on Thanksgiving. They were a hit with the family and there were none left over, everyone kept coming for more.
And the best thing about this yummy recipe: easy and only three ingredients. And come on they have cheese and bacon!
Cheese and bacon win every single time.
So check out how you can make this awesome cheese exploding dish:
- 5 - Slices of bacon cut in half
- 1 - package of 10 small biscuits
- 10 - 1 inch cubes of mild cheddar cheese
- Flatten out 1 biscuit.
- Place 1 cube of cheese in the center and fold biscuit around it (hiding the cheese).
- Wrap slice of bacon and the biscuit and cheese, securing in place with a toothpicks.
- Repeat with remaining biscuits.
- In about 1-inches of hot oil, fry the bacon cheese bombs for about 2-3 minutes on both sides. The biscuit should expand around the bacon really nicely.
