It’s March and that means everyone is going college basketball crazy. I know I have been recently, especially since my team has been playing. So for our basketball viewing pleasure, I made these awesome Basketball Goal Backboards for our straws that we used to drink OREO Milkshakes and drink delicious Coca-Cola Zero™. And the kids loved it and it helped them get into the game.

But before I made the Backboards I had to go shopping for the #GreatTasteTourney. To do this I went to our local Randall’s store and grabbed Coke Zero™ and OREOs for our watch party.

Basketball Backboards Straw Tutorial

Supplies:

1. This handy dandy Basketball Backboard PDF, that I made.
2. A craft knife
3. Straws
4. Pipe cleaners
5. White Cardstock
6. Scissors
7. Clear tape

How to:

1. Print out the Backboard PDF on the white cardstock.
2. Cut out the backboards.
3. Use the craft knife to cut two slits wide enough for your straw at the top and at the bottom.
4. Slide your straw through the slits.
5. Cut the pipe cleaner in 2-inch sections and make a circle shape with them and then put each end around the straw through the bottom slit.
6. Place a small piece of tape where the end meet on the back.

Yay, now you have adorable backboards for your OREO milkshakes or Coke Zero to drink at your Basketball watch party.

What you need for OREO Milkshakes:

1. Milk
2. Ice Cream – we used vanilla this time, but imagine the possibilities with different flavors.
3. OREOs

And you basically mix those three ingredients in your blender adding as much or not for your desired consistency!
